Great Spaces For Great People

Aerostructures

Aerostructures having outgrown their existing space, expanded into the top floor of the office building at 210 Kingsway, South Melbourne.

The new office fit-out consisted of a conference room, training area, executive offices, reception and breakout space.

A contemporary cool colour palette of blue and silver was adopted. These colours and the design give a fresh professional feel to the space as well as linking the corporate logo and aeronautical aspect of their operations. The colours used are complementary extending to the existing timber wall panelling and warm brown hues in the carpet.

Feature blades act as screening and create a strong lineal architectural element. They allow a subtle light source to penetrate the office which also gives the small office environment a feeling of space. Clever use of lighting highlights the lineal elements, making them a striking feature of the office fit-out.

A curved wall from front of house creates a journey for the visitors and links the different areas. The vista from the boardroom has stunning views of the CBD skyline and busy Kingsway and care was taken to ensure that the refurbishment of this particular room would not impinge on this view.

The training room leads into a breakout area which is aesthetically pleasing and functional. The metallic blue wall vinyl above the credenza is enhanced by stylish light pendants. The new office fit-out has delivered a pleasant working and learning facility.
