Great Spaces For Great People

Universal Group

Graham Nicholas designed two new floors for Universal Land Developments on Level 14 & 15 at 50 Market Street, Melbourne.

The interior fit out needed to reflect the two main aspects of Universal's core business being construction and the nightclub industry. The designer selected colours and finishes which were contemporary and stylish, but had a sleek industrial feel. A bold injection of colour was introduced by the bright orange reception desk and storage units throughout adding a stylish contrast.

As there is no natural light entering the reception area, this is enhanced with dramatic lighting which is impressive and eye catching and creates a moody yet welcoming ambiance. Strong lineal elements include the feature slat ceiling and striped carpet which gave the perception of a larger area taking your eye all the way through the space. A stunning mirror ball light pendant was introduced to highlight and compliment the spiral staircase linking the two floors together.

With striking elements and attention to detail throughout, this quality and classy interior fit out is not only comfortable and practical for the staff to work in, but also reflects a lucrative and growing business.

The fit out was completed in August 2011
