Southern Cross Austereo, a long-standing and valued client, sought a Newcastle office and studio overlooking the harbor and former steelworks site. Our design pays tribute to the Hunter region’s coal and steel legacy. Production booths and IT rooms are clad in ribbed steel, evoking shipping containers, while on-air studios feature coal-black metal and rusted steel panels.

The boardroom and staff breakout area offer a warm, hospitality-inspired atmosphere with a timber pergola, hanging plants, and an ivy-covered wall that creates a garden feel. Patterned floors resemble flagstones, and stepped plywood platforms provide extra seating for larger groups.
